This hub is about how to destress yourself for the holidays with a great attitude and preparedness. First, I would like to discuss what it means to destress yourself. When you destress yourself you evolve your thoughts, feelings, and actions from doubt, fear, and worry to thoughts, feelings, and actions of certainty, confidence, and hope. We do this by discovering our stressful habits and turning them into successful practices.

Therefore, this hub is about successful tips for a great attitude and preparedness for the holidays.

Our attitude towards the holidays is very important because what we think about is what we will get. If we are excited about the holidays then we will have a great holiday. If we are dreading the holidays chances are we may not have such a pleasant time. Here are some tips for a successful attitude.

1. Have an attitude of grattitude by looking for what you are grateful for and not giving any thought to what you are unthankful for.

2. Do not get offended. When people say and do things that get to us the best thing to do is just let it fall by the way side. Focus on what we are grateful for.

3. Be accepting of peoples' differences. In other words, do not be critical. Let's be happy and friendly to all those around us, no matter what.

4. Look for the good in people that get on our nerves. I love this one because we all have someone who can push our buttons but the challenge is to look at their good qualities. Everyone has good qualities and we can find them if we really look hard. When we do this we will see our thoughts evolve right before our eyes.

Being prepared for the holidays is a huge way to destress yourself. Here are some tips for being prepared.

1. We can take care of ourselves by eating right, exercising, and getting plenty of sleep. In other words, let's not overindulge. If we take care of ourselves we sustain our energy and it takes energy for the holidays because it is such a busy time of year. If we do not take care of ourselves we cannot take care of anyone else.

2. Manage our activities. We can make a list of all the things we need to do, prioritize that list, then divide the list up by how many days we have or schedule in our calendar all of the things on our list. Let's be flexible and if we have time we can do an extra task from the list.

3. Manage our money. When we know our budget and how much we will spend this holiday, we can list all the people we have to buy presents for, list all the things we have to buy, and then budget it accordingly. We can put the maximum amount we will spend on each person and each item and then reduce it where needed.

4. Ask for help. If we need help we can ask our family members to help with tasks. If we are hosting and money is low, we can ask the people we invite over to bring their favorite dish or desert. They will love to. I love to do this when people ask me because I love to bring people things.

Join me in taking responsibility for our attitudes and preparedness for the holidays and we can have the greatest time of our lives. Don't forget to have fun and be playful because it is in our nature.
